Attention to Detail in Willo Homes
Nooks and Crannies, curved entryways, beams, original flooring. These are some of the neat features you’ll find in the Willo District, an area in downtown Phoenix with homes built around 1930. A few homes currently on the market even have vintage stoves displayed in the kitchen.
Very cool.
That’s not to say that these homes have not been updated in 80 years. Most have been remodeled recently, and many owners have taken care to leave some old with the new.
The other nice thing about Willo has nothing to do with the historic homes – that is the location. The neighborhood is near Central and the Light Rail, which means that residents can get anywhere they like in the downtown area in a flash. I suppose that’s another way that Willo mixes vintage with modern…
